PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Dyson products are better engineered and work better than competitor products. Our job in the Dyson PR team is to communicate that difference and educate people via the media on how our machines can support health and wellbeing, make life more hygienic and generally more comfortable. The communications team also plays the role of telling the wider Dyson story, our philosophies, and our commitment to supporting engineering.
 
You’ll support the FC communications team in the development and management of public relations programs for mainland China to maximize brand exposure across print, online, social media, events and through word of mouth.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES (and supporting activities):

1. Media & influencer relations
• Raise awareness of Dyson story, Dyson technology.
• Seek and develop PR opportunities across media and influencers.
• Understand the media landscape by reading relevant media and social sources to develop a good understanding of the market place. Work closely with media to ensure all machine samples are utilized for photo shoots, product review and relevant PR opportunities to achieve maximum editorial coverage.
2. Event project
• Assist FC comm team on the event in terms of media invite, press pack delivery, logistics etc execution work. Follow up with pre and post event coverage.
• Help consolidate monthly FC best coverage and activity reports for global comm and internal Newsletter usage.
3. Administrative and analytics
• Fulfil media requests in a timely, deadline sensitive manner.
• Monitor and report competitor activity and relevant industry trends, events and opportunities to appropriate teams.
• Handle PR admin including building and maintaining media lists, collating coverage, managing resources such as keeping files and templates in order.

Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Head of IT (China), demonstrating your contribution, value, and learning on all levels as you rotate through the IT functions.

• Play a proactive role in assisting function leads in their day to day roles, taking responsibility for technical delivery, business or technical analysis, customer engagement, project management and coordination, coordination of vendor resource – whatever is required of the role during the rotation.
• Support communication and cross team working with IT teams based in Shanghai, Hong Kong, South Korea, South East Asia, and the UK, as well as the Dyson (China) user base in the Shanghai and Beijing office, in the repair centres, and in the direct retail stores.
• Seek out and adopt improvements to ways of working across all of the IT teams.
• Develop and maintain supporting documentation, whether project management plans, analysis reports, PMO reports, or technical diagrams or guides.
• Assist in the management of IT budgets, ensuring adherence to agreed levels of spend at all times and contributing to monthly reports.
• Travel to sites across mainland China for the purposes of reconnoitering, managing solution delivery, or crisis management as necessary.

What you will experience:

• The new grads would have chance to rotate cross all supply chain critical roles including Demand Forecasting, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Import & Export, Forward Logistics, Reverse Logistics, Order fulfilment etc.

• Relevant rotation would help the new grads to have a full picture of supply chain function, figure out the improvement opportunity, initiate and implement relevant project for continuous improvement.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:


Manage Routine Administration

• Ensure all necessary paperwork is ready for meetings.
• Conduct research, assemble and analyse data in order to make team stay abreast of industry developments and regulation changes.
• Manage follow up of action points from internal and external meetings.
• Establish and maintain the Legal’s vendor database.
• Complete expenses each month as required.
• Manage mailing of items by courier and post from the Dyson offices.

Paralegal Role

• Assist Lead legal counsels in development of standard contracts, guide internal clients on applicability of templates and provide legal opinions on amendments to NDAs and simple contracts assigned by legal counsels;
• Establish and implement procedure for preservation, collection, review, numbering and sign-off of contracts and legal documents consistent with applicable legal requirements;
• Manage contract records through each single contract life cycle and ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal;
• Provide litigation and authority support to lead legal counsel;
• Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes, design and circulate the internal newsletters to improve awareness of internal clients;
• Render comprehensive legal support as directed by team members. Such supports include matters relating to translation, public/legal search and any other matters not specifically mentioned but delegated by Senior Legal Counsel, China and Lead Legal Counsel, China.

Skills / Experience Required:

1. Graduate/degree level education. English degree or oversea education is plus.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office like Words, PowerPoint and Excel.
3. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese/Mandarin.
